Description
All of our coping stones are manufactured by us using our own proven concrete mix. It’s designed to do one job properly — produce a strong, durable product that stands up to the British weather.
We use a blend of granite aggregate, silica sand and high-strength 52.5N cement, along with carefully selected admixtures to improve strength, reduce water absorption and increase lifespan. Where colour is required, pigments are added through the mix, not just on the surface — so what you see is what you get all the way through.
Standard Finish
A smooth matt finish, often referred to as wet cast. Clean faces and edges, with a slightly rough underside to help with bedding. No gimmicks — just a solid, consistent finish straight out of the mould.
Resin Finish
A two-coat clear acrylic and polyurethane finish that gives a darker, richer tone with a slight sheen — similar to a wet look. It adds surface protection and enhances colour, but comes with longer lead times due to curing and drying times. Typically lasts up to 5 years depending on exposure before maintenance work is required
Acid Etched / Sandblasted Finish
This removes the smooth surface and exposes the aggregate, giving a more natural, stone-like appearance. It’s a more textured finish, so it will weather more over time and can pick up moss or lichen easier — but that’s part of the look. Small air holes may be visible, and that’s intentional.
All coping stones are cast with drip grooves underneath to help throw water clear of the wall.
Everything is made to order, so double check your sizes, colours and finish before ordering. If you’re unsure — ask. It’s easier to get it right first time.
