Peak Moor
Peak Moor sandstone is a traditional English building stone taken from the Lincolnshire sandstone belt. It is well known for its warm, buff colouring and subtle natural texture, which gives buildings a soft, established appearance once installed.
The stone typically displays gentle variations in tone, ranging from pale cream through to light honey shades. These natural colour changes are part of the character of the material and help it sit comfortably alongside both brickwork and other natural stones. Over time Peak Moor limestone weathers attractively, developing a slightly deeper tone that adds to its overall character.
Peak Moor has been used in construction for many years and is valued for its strength and reliability as well as its appearance. When used as coping stones it provides a durable protective finish to garden walls and masonry, helping to direct rainwater away from the wall below while giving a clean, natural stone finish.
Because it is a genuine natural material, each piece of Peak Moor sandstone will have its own subtle markings and variations. These differences are part of what makes natural stone so appealing and ensure that every installation has its own unique look.
Peak Moor limestone coping stones are a popular choice for garden walls, boundary walls and landscaping projects where a traditional natural stone finish is required. Their neutral buff tones make them easy to match with a wide range of brick and stonework, making them suitable for both period properties and more modern designs.
