Cadeby Stone

Cadeby Stone is a well-known English limestone quarried from the Permian limestone formation that runs through parts of South Yorkshire and the East Midlands. It has been used in traditional building for many years and is recognised for its warm buff colouring and natural, slightly textured appearance.

The stone typically displays tones ranging from pale cream through to soft golden shades, often with small natural features and subtle variation across the face of the stone. These natural markings are part of what gives Cadeby limestone its character and help it blend well with both brickwork and other natural building materials.

Cadeby Stone has long been used for walling, masonry and architectural stonework due to its strength and durability. When used as coping stones it provides a solid and attractive finish to garden and boundary walls while helping to direct rainwater away from the wall below. This not only improves the appearance of the wall but also helps protect the masonry beneath.

Because Cadeby is a genuine natural limestone, each piece will vary slightly in colour and texture. These natural variations are to be expected and are part of what gives real stone its authentic look once installed. Cadeby limestone coping stones are a popular choice where a traditional British stone finish is required for landscaping and building projects.
